How to get started with mindfulness

If you’re completely new to mindfulness…

Join the 8-week mindfulness course where you will be guided step-by-step by one of Brussels Mindfulness’ certified mindfulness teachers to begin your journey with mindfulness.

Participants of our 8-week courses have shared that coming together online or in person at a fixed time over the course of a few months helps them to cultivate new habits and feel supported by a group of like-minded practitioners.

It is a moment to look forward to, a momentary break to focus on yourself and your own needs. That is why offering group courses and retreats is at the heart of what we do.

Brussels Mindfulness offers its popular, signature 8-week course regularly either online or in-person in beautiful locations in Brussels.

If you want to deepen your mindfulness practice…

Perhaps you have already followed an 8-week mindfulness course, or have a consistent mindfulness practice. Or maybe you just need some time away, to escape the demands of everyday life and come back to yourself; to allow for deep rest, reflection, and relaxation.

A mindfulness retreat would be perfect for you! We offer single-day retreats, Days of Nourishment, in the heart of Brussels, or you can opt for a longer multiple day retreat at one of our beautiful retreat centres.

Are you looking for a course with a similar structure to the 8-week mindfulness course with weekly gatherings, home practice, and group sharing? Check out our follow-up courses on positive neuroplasticity, compassion or interpersonal mindfulness.

If you’re looking for just a taste or would like to learn more about one specific topic…

We regularly run workshops around specific topics related to mindfulness and mindful living. These are usually one-off or two-part sessions run by one of our trainers skilled in that particular area. We also offer regular come-back sessions to help you practice and meet like-minded people.

As a special gift, check out our Guide to Meditation – A resource on how, when and where to meditate. It's full of tips to offer you a great beginning if you are new to mindfulness, or a nice refresher if you've already been practicing for a while.

Mindfulness for youngsters

As young people increasingly struggle with mental health issues, especially recently due to the impact of the corona pandemic, it is important to learn these mental skills at an early age. The Oxford Mindfulness Centre has recently started a great website for young people.

Occasionally, we offer workshops for teenagers at Brussels Mindfulness, and young adults are welcome to all our activities. We also offer mindfulness trainings and workshops for schools and youth initiatives.

New: We have decided to increase our commitment for young people's wellbeing and happiness by offering discounted rates for schools and youth clubs.

Feel free to get in touch to know more.
