Build resilience, clarity and inner balance in a demanding life
Many people who join our programmes lead full and demanding lives. You may be working in an international organisation, company or public institution — or simply carrying a lot of responsibility in your personal and professional life.
Over time this can lead to stress, mental overload, poor sleep or simply the feeling that the mind never fully switches off.
At Brussels Mindfulness, we help you develop the inner skills that allow you to stay grounded, clear and resilient in the midst of a busy life.
Our programmes draw on mindfulness, neuroscience and Positive Neuroplasticity Training, combining contemplative practices with modern insights into how the brain and nervous system work.
The focus is always on simple, practical tools that can be integrated easily into everyday life.
Become part of a supportive community
We deliberately work with small groups, creating an atmosphere that is both professional and personal. Participants often appreciate the opportunity to pause, reflect and practise together with others who face similar pressures.
Through our courses, retreats and community practice sessions, a supportive community has grown over the years where people continue to practise and reconnect.

Why choose Brussels Mindfulness?
Brussels Mindfulness has been supporting individuals and organisations in cultivating resilience and well-being for more than a decade.

Our programmes are:
- Evidence-based: We integrate mindfulness, neuroscience and positive neuroplasticity, offering practices that are both experiential and supported by research.
- Highly experienced: Our trainers have many years of teaching experience and have worked with both individuals and international organisations.
- Trusted by leading organisations: Our programmes have been delivered for organisations such as NATO, the European Commission, the European Parliament, Amazon, IKEA and Brussels Airlines. Find our ore about our clients here.
- Designed for busy professionals: Many participants are international professionals and expats living in Brussels who are looking for practical ways to manage stress and restore balance in demanding lives.
- Small and personal: We intentionally keep our groups small to create a space where participants feel comfortable practising, reflecting and learning together.
- Community-oriented: Many people stay connected long after their first course through our community practice evenings, retreats and ongoing programmes.
Our approach
At Brussels Mindfulness, our intention is simple: to offer a space where people can pause, reconnect with themselves and develop inner strengths that support a balanced and meaningful life.
Through simple practices, shared learning and a supportive community, mindfulness becomes less something you “do” and more a way of living with greater awareness, resilience and kindness — towards yourself and others.
Not sure where to start?
If you are new to mindfulness, a structured course is often the best starting point. It allows you to gradually learn the practices and develop habits that support long-term resilience and well-being.
If you already have some experience with meditation, you may enjoy retreats, workshops or community practice sessions, which offer opportunities to deepen your practice and reconnect with yourself.

Frequently asked questions
-
Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to present-moment experience with openness, curiosity and kindness. Rather than living on autopilot, mindfulness helps us become more aware of our thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations and surroundings. Research shows that regular mindfulness practice can reduce stress, improve focus, enhance emotional well-being and support resilience.
-
Not at all. While mindfulness has roots in contemplative traditions, the programmes we teach are evidence-based and grounded in modern psychology and neuroscience. They are practical, secular and relevant to everyday life. Listen to this video to find out more.
-
Our mindfulness courses combine guided meditations, practical exercises, scientific insights and group discussions. You will learn how to work more skilfully with stress, difficult emotions, overthinking and distractions while cultivating greater calm, clarity and well-being in everyday life.
No previous meditation experience is required. Our courses are suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners, and everything is explained step by step.
Participants come from many different backgrounds and professions. Some join to reduce stress, others to improve focus, sleep, emotional balance or overall well-being. What participants usually share is a wish to live with greater awareness, balance and resilience.
The courses are taught in a warm, supportive and non-judgemental atmosphere. You are never required to speak or share personal information, although many participants find value in learning from the experiences of others.
To create a safe and interactive learning environment, we typically work with small groups, allowing time for questions, reflection and individual attention.

You are welcome to attend one of our community meditation evenings, listen to our free guided meditations, participate in an introductory workshop, or book a discovery call. These options allow you to experience mindfulness and determine whether the approach feels right for you.
-
To get the greatest benefit from the course, we recommend setting aside around 20–30 minutes per day for practice, depending on the programme. Audio recordings and guidance materials are provided to support your learning. The goal is not perfection but building a sustainable practice that fits your life.
In each session, there will be a meditation which you will be invited to practice in between the sessions as well. If you wish to fully benefit from this training, this practice is the most important part.
Many of the exercises are designed to practice while you are doing the things which you already do on a daily basis, but others will require some time investment. For more information, you can watch this video.
-
If you are unable to attend a session, don't worry. While we encourage participants to attend all sessions whenever possible, missing one session does not mean you cannot continue with the course.
You will receive course materials and follow-up resources that will help you catch up on what was covered. Depending on the programme, we may also be able to provide additional guidance to support your learning.
The most important thing is to continue your practice and rejoin the course as soon as possible.
-
Many participants join our programmes during periods of stress, overwhelm or burnout. Mindfulness can be a valuable support for well-being, recovery and resilience.
If you are experiencing severe depression, acute burnout or significant psychological difficulties, we recommend discussing your situation with us before registering. Depending on your circumstances, we may suggest waiting until you feel more stable or consulting your healthcare professional before starting the course.
Our programmes are educational rather than therapeutic and are not intended to replace medical or psychological treatment.
-
Many participants find that practising with others helps them maintain motivation and deepen their mindfulness practice over time.
After completing a course, you are welcome to join our community meditation evenings, workshops, retreats, mindfulness membership and advanced programmes. We also offer guided meditations and other resources to help you integrate mindfulness into everyday life.
For those who wish to deepen their practice further, we offer professional training programmes, including our Mindfulness Teacher Training.
Our aim is not only to help you complete a course, but to support a lifelong journey of greater well-being, resilience, awareness and connection.
-
Many Belgian health insurance providers (mutualities) offer partial reimbursement for mindfulness courses. Brussels Mindfulness is recognised by several providers and participants are often eligible for a partial refund.
As reimbursement policies vary between providers, we recommend checking directly with your health insurance provider for the latest conditions and reimbursement amounts.
At the end of the course, we are happy to complete and sign any required reimbursement forms.
