From doing to being — a day to pause and restore

A one-day retreat in an exclusive setting with a small group

Sunday 30 August, from 10:00 to 16:30.

With senior mindfulness and positive neuroplasticity teacher Beate Trück

Recharge from within

When was the last time you truly paused?

Just before the pace of September begins again, this day offers a natural moment to pause, reset, and reconnect with yourself.

This day is an invitation to step out of doing mode and reconnect with a deeper sense of calm, clarity, and presence. Through a series of simple guided practices, you will gradually allow the mind to settle and the body to unwind, reconnecting with a quieter and more grounded state.

Especially when life feels full or demanding, taking a day like this can make a real difference.

Benefits of this day - what you can expect

  • Cultivate a deeper sense of calm and inner balance
  • Soften the inner critic and develop a more compassionate inner voice
  • Reconnect with yourself in a supportive group setting
  • Refresh and deepen your mindfulness practice

You will leave the day feeling more grounded, mentally clearer, and reconnected with yourself — with simple practices you can bring into your daily life.

“I arrived feeling exhausted and left with a deep sense of calm and clarity.”

Participant from previous day

Practising together in a group can help you reconnect with meditation and support a more regular practice in daily life.

We will practice a mix of different forms of meditation, mindful walking, and stretching, to bring the mind to rest.

Digital detox and silence

The day will mostly take place in silence, with English instructions given by the teacher.

Experience a digital detox throughout the day; keep your phone on flight mode or leave it behind. Please inform your contacts of your unavailability, except for emergencies.

Embracing the silence will allow you to deepen your sense of rest and peace while connecting with the group.

For whom?

This day is especially supportive for people who already have some experience with meditation, mindfulness, or yoga and would like to deepen their practice.

You are also welcome if you are simply longing for more peace, calm, and space, and are open to a gentle introduction to these practices.

Because the day takes place mostly in silence and can bring us into deeper contact with ourselves, it is most suitable if you are currently in a relatively stable phase.

If you are new to mindfulness or yoga, or if you are unsure whether this retreat is the right fit for you, please feel free to contact us before registering.

The location

The course will take place at Timesmore, a beautifully decorated and spacious Maison de maître in the heart of Brussels (close to metro Montgomery). If the weather allows, we will do some outdoor practices in the beautiful and serene garden.

Important information on your mental well-being and silent retreats

While meditation retreats can be very nourishing; they do require sustained meditation practice throughout your time there. This also demands some stability of psychological health and can be triggering for some people.

Have you experienced significant trauma or psychiatric illness, or are your currently struggling with your mental health such as with anxiety, depression, or burnout? If so, a retreat might not be the best option for you at the moment. The teacher might not be able to give you the kind of individual psychological care and support you need right now.

If you are currently under the care of a mental health professional, please discuss your attendance with them. You should be in a relatively stable period of mental well-being and have adequate psychological resilience.

Please fill in the questions in the registration form as open and honestly as possible, this will give us an idea of your current situation. The teacher of the retreat may reach out to you for more information

If you are unsure, or have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us directly at info@brusselsmindfulness.be.
