Boost your well-being with our stress resilience programmes
Do you feel overwhelmed with all that is going on in your life?
You are not alone. Chronic stress is a condition most people with busy lives struggle with. The worst thing is that you get used to it. You start thinking that being stressed is normal, that this is how it should be. It is not. A busy life with many responsibilities should not necessarily make you suffer.
This has to do with our survival instinct: when our brain detects a threat, which can just be a worrying thought, it releases the stress hormones adrenaline and cortisol, triggering a survival mechanism in our body
- The digestive system gets put on hold,
- blood goes to the bigger muscles,
- pupils are dilated,
- hearing gets sharper
- in short: we are in high alert and ready to run or fight.
It is perfectly possible to learn to handle the challenging situations life puts you through better – and to live a happier life, focused on the things that truly matter.
At Brussels Mindfulness, we offer courses and personalised coaching to help you manage stress, build inner resilience, and re-energise both your mind and body.
We teach tools to ground yourself, to be kinder to yourself and to shift your mind to the positive, even when the world is flashing red.

Frequently asked questions
-
Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention to present-moment experience with openness, curiosity and kindness. Rather than living on autopilot, mindfulness helps us become more aware of our thoughts, emotions, bodily sensations and surroundings. Research shows that regular mindfulness practice can reduce stress, improve focus, enhance emotional well-being and support resilience.
-
Not at all. While mindfulness has roots in contemplative traditions, the programmes we teach are evidence-based and grounded in modern psychology and neuroscience. They are practical, secular and relevant to everyday life. Listen to this video to find out more.
-
Our mindfulness courses combine guided meditations, practical exercises, scientific insights and group discussions. You will learn how to work more skilfully with stress, difficult emotions, overthinking and distractions while cultivating greater calm, clarity and well-being in everyday life.
No previous meditation experience is required. Our courses are suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners, and everything is explained step by step.
Participants come from many different backgrounds and professions. Some join to reduce stress, others to improve focus, sleep, emotional balance or overall well-being. What participants usually share is a wish to live with greater awareness, balance and resilience.
The courses are taught in a warm, supportive and non-judgemental atmosphere. You are never required to speak or share personal information, although many participants find value in learning from the experiences of others.
To create a safe and interactive learning environment, we typically work with small groups, allowing time for questions, reflection and individual attention.
-
You are welcome to attend one of our community meditation evenings, listen to our free guided meditations, participate in an introductory workshop, or book a discovery call. These options allow you to experience mindfulness and determine whether the approach feels right for you.
-
To get the greatest benefit from the course, we recommend setting aside around 20–30 minutes per day for practice, depending on the programme. Audio recordings and guidance materials are provided to support your learning. The goal is not perfection but building a sustainable practice that fits your life.
In each session, there will be a meditation which you will be invited to practice in between the sessions as well. If you wish to fully benefit from this training, this practice is the most important part.
Many of the exercises are designed to practice while you are doing the things which you already do on a daily basis, but others will require some time investment. For more information, you can watch this video.
-
If you are unable to attend a session, don't worry. While we encourage participants to attend all sessions whenever possible, missing one session does not mean you cannot continue with the course.
You will receive course materials and follow-up resources that will help you catch up on what was covered. Depending on the programme, we may also be able to provide additional guidance to support your learning.
The most important thing is to continue your practice and rejoin the course as soon as possible.
-
Many participants join our programmes during periods of stress, overwhelm or burnout. Mindfulness can be a valuable support for well-being, recovery and resilience.
If you are experiencing severe depression, acute burnout or significant psychological difficulties, we recommend discussing your situation with us before registering. Depending on your circumstances, we may suggest waiting until you feel more stable or consulting your healthcare professional before starting the course.
Our programmes are educational rather than therapeutic and are not intended to replace medical or psychological treatment.
-
Many participants find that practising with others helps them maintain motivation and deepen their mindfulness practice over time.
After completing a course, you are welcome to join our community meditation evenings, workshops, retreats, mindfulness membership and advanced programmes. We also offer guided meditations and other resources to help you integrate mindfulness into everyday life.
For those who wish to deepen their practice further, we offer professional training programmes, including our Mindfulness Teacher Training.
Our aim is not only to help you complete a course, but to support a lifelong journey of greater well-being, resilience, awareness and connection.
-
Many Belgian health insurance providers (mutualities) offer partial reimbursement for mindfulness courses. Brussels Mindfulness is recognised by several providers and participants are often eligible for a partial refund.
As reimbursement policies vary between providers, we recommend checking directly with your health insurance provider for the latest conditions and reimbursement amounts.
At the end of the course, we are happy to complete and sign any required reimbursement forms.
