Slow down, rest deeply and reconnect
From Thursday 1 July (11:00) until Sunday 4 July (16:00).
A deeply restorative mindfulness retreat led by senior mindfulness teacher Beate Trück
with the support of Katrien Maes
Step away from everyday demands and give yourself four days to slow down, rest and reconnect. In the peaceful surroundings of La Maison du Chemin des Roches in Wallonia, you will be supported by guided mindfulness practices, gentle movement, nourishing vegetarian meals and time in nature. With nowhere else to be and nothing to achieve, there is space to settle into a quieter rhythm.
Through mindfulness and positive neuroplasticity practices, we will explore how to soften habitual striving, meet ourselves with kindness and become more receptive to what nourishes us. Sitting and walking meditation, deep relaxation and evening teachings will provide a supportive rhythm, with generous breaks for rest. Along the way, we will rediscover the simple pleasures and moments of wonder that can go unnoticed in busy lives.
Space to rest and simply be
A retreat offers time to notice how you are, beyond your usual roles and responsibilities. As daily distractions fall away, you may become more aware of both what feels nourishing and what feels difficult. The invitation is to meet your experience with curiosity and kindness, without needing to change it or reach a particular state. Rest may come through stillness, gentle movement, time outdoors or simply allowing yourself to do less.
The retreat will be held in English and mostly in silence, including during meals and breaks. Silence offers a welcome release from conversation and social expectations, supporting a deeper connection with your own experience. Guided teachings, optional daily sharing sessions and opportunities for individual conversations with the teacher will provide support throughout.
If this is your first retreat you might want to read more in the article about what happens in a mindfulness retreat.

Health & Well-being Guidelines - Retreats
Important information on your mental well-being and silent retreats
While meditation retreats can be very nourishing; they do require sustained meditation practice throughout your time there. This also demands some stability of psychological health and can be triggering for some people.
Have you experienced significant trauma or psychiatric illness, or are your currently struggling with your mental health such as with anxiety, depression, or burnout? If so, a retreat might not be the best option for you at the moment. The teacher might not be able to give you the kind of individual psychological care and support you need right now.
If you are currently under the care of a mental health professional, please discuss your attendance with them. You should be in a relatively stable period of mental well-being and have adequate psychological resilience.
Please fill in the questions in the registration form as open and honestly as possible, this will give us an idea of your current situation. The teacher of the retreat may reach out to you for more information
If you are unsure, or have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us directly at info@brusselsmindfulness.be.
