Step out of the year-end rush and reconnect with what matters

Life can become a continuous stream of responsibilities, decisions and demands. You keep going and deal with what needs your attention—but rarely have time to step back and ask:

How am I actually doing? What is taking my energy? And what do I want to give more space to?

The transition from one year to the next can be a natural moment to turn inward—not to judge how the year has gone or create another list of resolutions, but to listen, take stock and notice what you want to carry forward.

Reflect & Reconnect is a series of three Saturday morning sessions offering dedicated time to pause, take stock and move forward with greater clarity.

You do not need to have everything figured out. The sessions will help you listen more closely to yourself, recognise what may need attention and make more conscious choices about what comes next.

Step out of the year-end rush and reconnect with what matters

Three sessions: pause, let go and choose

7 November 2026 | Pause – Where am I right now?

When life moves quickly, it can be difficult to notice how you are really doing. This first session offers space to step out of autopilot, take stock and become more aware of what is present in your life right now. You will leave with a clearer sense of where you are and what may need your attention.

5 December 2026 | Let go – What am I carrying?

We often carry responsibilities, expectations or patterns long after they have stopped being helpful. This session invites you to notice what is taking your energy and consider what you might hold more lightly, approach differently or begin to set down. You will leave with a sense of where you could create more space.

16 January 2027 | Choose – What matters now?

The start of a new year often brings pressure to change or achieve more. This session offers a different starting point. You will reconnect with what matters to you and choose an intention or small step that feels meaningful and realistic. You will leave with a clearer sense of how you want to move forward.

What to expect

Each 90-minute session offers a calm and structured space for personal reflection and exchange with others. Guided meditation, journalling and conversation will support you in exploring the theme and translating what you notice into everyday life.

You do not need to have a regular meditation practice, but some experience of mindfulness, meditation, yoga, journalling or another reflective practice is recommended.

Features

Each session follows a simple rhythm:

Connect | Meditate | Journal | Share | Integrate

There will be quiet time for yourself as well as opportunities to exchange with others. You will leave each session with an insight, intention or small action to bring into everyday life.

Meet the teacher

Certified Mindfulness Teacher and Coach Alena Reisinger

Alena has a strong interest in personal development and supporting people in navigating life with greater awareness and self-compassion.

After experiencing how mindfulness helped her relate more skilfully to stress, worry and insecurity in her own life, Alena completed the two-year mindfulness teacher training programme at Brussels Mindfulness. Her professional background in language coaching and talent management further informs her understanding of learning, reflection and personal growth.

Alena brings warmth, kindness and creativity to her teaching and creates a supportive space in which participants can slow down, explore their experience and reconnect with what matters to them.

"The 8-week course was a real eye opener. I loved the coach as well as the group. Everything was done in an atmosphere of compassion and understanding. I feel like now I have this big toolbox that I can keep developing and digging into when I face stressful situations."

"I highly recommend Brussels Mindfulness! The teachers and approach were the right balance of providing a conceptual understanding, hands-on practice, personal and peer reflections and dialogue to understand and integrate what we learnt into who we are and what we do. The impact has been immediate and keeps on going - it is an investment that positively affects the foundations of self and holistic wellbeing!".

"I am now meditating every day! I found the course a good balance of theory, practical and sharing vs actually meditating."

"High quality teachers and extraordinary communication and pedagogical tools (handbook, to-the-point emails, languages, knowledge..). Extraordinary mindfulness course which should be a must for everyone .... impossible not to like it! Mindfulness attitudes so much needed in hectic times.... and delicious raisins (you will find out why)!"

While meditation and well-being courses, workshops and other in-person events can be very nourishing; they can demand some stability of psychological health and can be triggering for some people.

Have you experienced significant trauma or psychiatric illness, or are your currently struggling with your mental health such as with anxiety, depression, or burnout? If so, it's important for you and the mindfulness trainer to discuss your specific situation as they might not be able to give you the kind of individual psychological care and support you need right now.

If you are currently under the care of a mental health professional, please discuss your attendance with them. You should be in a relatively stable period of mental well-being and have adequate psychological resilience.

Please fill in the questions in the registration form as open and honestly as possible to give us an idea of your current situation. The teacher of the event may reach out to you for more information.

We also ask that if you are feeling ill to consider not attending the class, for the health and safety of the trainer and others in the group.  Listening to your body and taking rest can also be an important act of self-care.

If you are unsure, or have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us directly at info@brusselsmindfulness.be.

We encourage you to register as soon as possible to secure your place.
