Responding to stress with greater awareness
If this sounds like something you can relate to, then this mini-course might be for you.
A practical introduction to mindfulness
Join senior mindfulness teacher Beate Trück for a practical and accessible introduction to mindfulness. Over three weekly sessions, you will explore how mindfulness can help you pause, reconnect with yourself and respond more skilfully to the pressures of everyday life.
Each two-hour session combines key mindfulness principles with guided practices and practical ways to integrate greater awareness, calm and self-care into your daily life.
Developing your capacity to cope
It can be helpful to recognise when stress is building before we become overwhelmed. Mindfulness supports us in noticing early signs of stress, pausing and exploring more helpful ways of responding.
Through regular practice, we can develop greater awareness of our thoughts, emotions and physical sensations. This may help us relate to difficult experiences with more steadiness and care, while also paying attention to our need for rest and recovery.
What to expect in the 3-week mindfulness introductory course
Each session combines concise teaching, guided mindfulness practices and practical ways to apply what you learn in everyday life.
- Working with attention: Notice when the mind has wandered and practise gently bringing your attention back.
- Body awareness: Become more aware of physical sensations and recognise signs of stress earlier.
- Responding to stress: Explore how mindfulness can help you pause and relate differently to stressful situations.
- Moving from reaction to response: Notice automatic reactions and create more space for conscious choices.
- Self-compassion: Practise meeting yourself and your experience with greater kindness and understanding.

What participants of previous courses said
"The 8-week course was a real eye opener. I loved the coach as well as the group. Everything was done in an atmosphere of compassion and understanding. I feel like now I have this big toolbox that I can keep developing and digging into when I face stressful situations."
"I highly recommend Brussels Mindfulness! The teachers and approach were the right balance of providing a conceptual understanding, hands-on practice, personal and peer reflections and dialogue to understand and integrate what we learnt into who we are and what we do. The impact has been immediate and keeps on going - it is an investment that positively affects the foundations of self and holistic wellbeing!".
"I am now meditating every day! I found the course a good balance of theory, practical and sharing vs actually meditating."
"High quality teachers and extraordinary communication and pedagogical tools (handbook, to-the-point emails, languages, knowledge..). Extraordinary mindfulness course which should be a must for everyone .... impossible not to like it! Mindfulness attitudes so much needed in hectic times.... and delicious raisins (you will find out why)!"

Health & Well-being Guidelines - In-person
While meditation and well-being courses, workshops and other in-person events can be very nourishing; they can demand some stability of psychological health and can be triggering for some people.
Have you experienced significant trauma or psychiatric illness, or are your currently struggling with your mental health such as with anxiety, depression, or burnout? If so, it's important for you and the mindfulness trainer to discuss your specific situation as they might not be able to give you the kind of individual psychological care and support you need right now.
If you are currently under the care of a mental health professional, please discuss your attendance with them. You should be in a relatively stable period of mental well-being and have adequate psychological resilience.
Please fill in the questions in the registration form as open and honestly as possible to give us an idea of your current situation. The teacher of the event may reach out to you for more information.
We also ask that if you are feeling ill to consider not attending the class, for the health and safety of the trainer and others in the group. Listening to your body and taking rest can also be an important act of self-care.
If you are unsure, or have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us directly at info@brusselsmindfulness.be.
