With a master in comparative literature and anthropology, I started my career as a radio journalist in Paris, working for several international and German public broadcasters. A master in European studies brought me to Brussels 11 years ago, where I have been working in EU affairs ever since.
My first encounter with mindfulness happened as a young working mum, when struggling to keep pace with two small children. It opened a whole world for me. Not only could I find a new approach to everyday challenges and how to handle stress, I also learned to calm down my inner critic and be more compassionate towards myself.
After a first 8 week course with Steve Savels, I never lost sight of mindfulness again and followed up with several retreats and workshops in mindful parenting, a particular passion of mine. In 2018, I started a mindfulness teacher training course at Brussels Mindfulness with lead teacher Jake Dartington, which I completed in August 2020.
Living in the south of Brussels with my husband and two children, I enjoy gardening and being in nature, cycling, live performances of all kinds and discovering new places and people. A German citizen, I also speak English, French and Italian.
