Start on Monday at 10.00, end on Tuesday at 17.00.

Finding Stillness

At "Het Verblijf" in Flemish Pajottenland with mindfulness and compassion teacher Steve Savels 

Residential retreat for everyone who wants to replenish their energy levels and have time for stillness and contemplation at the end of the year. 

With Steve Savels (mindfulness trainer) and Katrien Maes (ayurvedic therapist)

The end of the year is generally filled with lots of get-togethers with family and friends. Quite often we are exhausted after the Christmas period and do not find the time to pause and reflect on the past year. In the past years, this end of the year mini-retreat has been very popular as it allows to find some time for yourself and for stillness.

We will be using the silence to recharge from the busy period before and to deepen the mindfulness practices. Together, we will step out of the busy 'doing mode' and switch to being and sensing. We will reflect on what has been helpful and good in the past year and what we would like to see changed, replaced by new activities, or added to our life. What are the priorities you would like to set for the coming year? How can you support your healing and growing? How can you find more time for yourself again?

While most of the retreat is in silence, there will be some sharing moments to use the wisdom of the group and to encourage each other.

There will also be time for yourself to journal, walk in the beautiful surroundings or simply rest. You will be nourished by the power of group meditations, the silence, the beautiful nature and the delicious food prepared with love by our hosts, Inge and Hugo.

The Venue

The retreat will take place at "Het Verblijf", a 200-year old farm in Sint Martens Lennik, just 20 minutes from Brussels.

The place is a haven of peace, with sheep and fields around it. The gentle hosts, Inge and Hugo, who are passionate yoga teachers themselves, have restored the farm in a very authentic way and to be 100% energy neutral. 

They provide delicious organic food which is always very much appreciated by our participants. Tea, coffee and snacks are available throughout the retreat.

Around the farm there are many beautiful walks though the fields. There will be free time where you can either walk alone or rest in the spacious grange, the cozy living room or on the terrace next to the pond.

Steve Savels is a registered psychologist, life coach and  mindfulness and compassion teacher who has many courses and retreats to an international audience People appreciate his gentle and calm style with lots of humour.

Extra: massages available

Katrien Maes, ayurvedic therapist, will offer full-body massages during this retreat at a reasonable additional cost. These massages offer a wonderful opportunity to deepen your relaxation and get more in touch with your body.

Rate for the 2-day retreat, including meals and accommodation in a shared twin room with private bathroom:

  • 'Early bird rate' until 29 November 2020: € 320 (incl. VAT)
  • Full price as of 30 November 2020: € 350 (incl. VAT)
