4-day Summer Mindfulness Retreat from Monday 14 to Thursday 17 August 2017

At the beautiful former monastery “Rosario” in Flemish Pajottenland

Experience the transformational power of mindfulness.

With Steve Savels & Berenice Boxler (Mindfulness Trainers) and Katrien Maes (Massage Therapist).

For people who wish to deepen or refresh their mindfulness practice and are looking for peace of mind and beautiful surroundings.

In this retreat, we will take a deep dive into mindfulness practice in its different forms: sitting meditation, walking meditation, mindful eating, mindful listening and speaking, …

By meditating in a group for a longer time, you can deepen your practice and benefit from its healing and nourishing effects. This can be a boost to motivate you to continue practicing at home and integrate it more deeply into your daily life so that you can tap into your own resouces of healing and calm at any time.

Being away from day-to-day demands and all the external chatter means time to reflect, to reconnect with your true self and with nature. When the part of you that wants to be in control and that fears that change is dominant, you are cut off from your deeper wisdom and intuition. But if you rest and create space to tap into our creative energy, you can get in touch with what really matters and what kind of life you would really like to lead.

During the retreat, there will also be free time to enjoy walks through the surrounding fields, or simply relaxing in or around the charming old monastery. There is a beautiful garden and a natural swimming pool which will be entirely at your disposal.

You will be also enjoying the company of like-minded international people. No less than 3 trainers will be taking care of your wellbeing – two mindfulness trainers and one Ayurveda therapist so that you can enjoy from the perfect combination of inner and outer wellness.

People have reported that long after the retreat they could still feel the benefits of it- and that it is lasts much longer than a normal holiday.

The retreat will partly be given in silence, with English instructions. There will be times during the day where you will be in silence and other times where you can choose to talk or to remain silent.

You will be enjoying

  • Different forms of meditation and yoga.
  • Deep relaxation.
  • Delicious, healthy vegetarian food.
  • A relaxing atmosphere in the beautiful garden and former monastery.

What people said about previous retreats

“The retreat was a wonderful experience. It is funny how the effects are starting to unfold, in part on unsuspected aspects of daily life.  The most striking one is mindful conversation, especially at work. Focusing on the present moment and not worrying about being judged allows me to regain some spontaneity which I had gradually lost.

Being more mindful at home, especially with the children, also has a tremendous impact. They absorb our state of mind and react accordingly in the immediate interactions, but also mimic our attitudes on the long-term. A nice reminder that taking care of one self is a gift to people surrounding us.

I also generally note an increased sense of joy and appreciation. I will stay with the image of the seeds being planted and the tomatoes growing in stages … What a journey. I am looking forward to the next retreat.

Thank you so much.”
