In the course you will learn:

  • How to stay present in whatever situation arises, how to stay grounded yourself and how to stay connected to your child/children, even when they do not act as you wish.
  • How to respond more thoughtfully to stressful and challenging family situations, rather than reacting automatically and getting more upset.
  • How to deal better with difficult thoughts and emotions that might otherwise stress you out or drag you down in a spiral of helplessness and frustration.
  • How to integrate mindfulness into your family so that your life as a parent can be more joyful and rewarding.

The programme

In this training programme you will learn to integrate mindfulness skills in your daily life as a parent.

This course can be a perfect follow-up of the 8-week-mindfulness course. However, no prior knowledge of mindfulness is necessary to attend the course.

  • Two days (Saturday and Sunday), each 10am-4pm.
  • Comprehensive manual with handouts and worksheets, and audio downloads to support your practice.
  • Lots of practical exercises to build mindfulness into your daily schedule without needing to invest extra time.
  • Programme based on the works of outstanding mindfulness experts such as Jon Kabat-Zinn, Dan Siegel and Rick Hanson.
  • Course led by a mindfulness trainer with a special formation in mindful parenting.
  • Beautiful and convenient location, easy to reach with public transport.

This course will be given in English.

Daily from 10am to 4.30pm.

The trainer

BERENICE BOXLER

Berenice is training as an MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) trainer, with a specialisation in Mindful Parenting. She has attended many workshops on this topic, amongst others with Jon Kabat-Zinn, the “founding father” of mindfulness.
